Isabel Pincus
Isabel Barr Pincus, 91, of West Long Branch died April 14, 2015. She was born in Kenosha, Wis., and later moved to Chicago and then back to Kenosha before relocating to New Jersey in 1955.
Mrs. Pincus and her husband, Monroe, opened Jamian, Inc., on Norwood Avenue in Deal. Originally a furniture store, Jamian evolved, after his death in 1969, into Gift and Home Accessories store. After her retirement in 1988, she served on the board of directors of SCORE (Senior Corps of Retired Executives), helping and advising small business owners.
She graduated from Tobe Coburn School for Merchandising in New York City.
She was a life member of Hadassah and a 60-year member of Temple Beth Miriam in Elberon.
Predeceased by her husband, she is survived by her son, Jim (Suzanne) of Tinton Falls; her daughter, Marian (Bill) Warshauer of West Long Branch; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 15 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Memorial contributions may be made to West Long Branch First Aid Squad, Barnabas Health Hospice & Palliative Care, or Temple Beth Miriam.
