Irving Neshin
Irving S. Neshin, 93, of Monroe Township died June 6, 2013. Born in Bayonne, he resided in Union for 37 years before moving to Monroe in 1986.
Prior to retiring in 1986, Mr. Neshin, a member of the American Chemical Society, was a chemical engineer and manufacturing manager for General Microwave Corp., Amityville, NY. Prior to that he worked for Hatfield Wire and Cable division of Continental Copper and Steel, Linden, from 1947 to 1983.
He graduated from The Cooper Union in 1940.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1945 to 1946.
He was a member of the Jewish Congregation of Concordia and B’nai B’rith’s Concordia chapter in Monroe.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Esther Pecker Neshin; his son, Elliot of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; two daughters, Sanda Bernstein of Manhattan and Susan Neshin Rutland of Metuchen; a sister, Iris Nach of Clifton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 9 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
