Irving Cooper
Irving Cooper, 91, of Pompton Plains died Oct. 31. He was formerly of Rockville Centre, NY.
Mr. Cooper was a retired manager-buyer for the delicatessen, gourmet food, and cheese departments of various stores for many years.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was the first president of the Oceanside chapter of the AARP in 1998, and was an active member in senior community affairs for the Sandal Centre, Rockville Centre.
Predeceased by his wife, Florence, a daughter, Ilene Ross, and a grandson, Andrew Weiner, he is survived by his son, Robert; a daughter, Sharon L. Weiner; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 4 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
