Ida Block, 102, of Holland, Pa., died Aug. 31, 2011. She was born in Windsor and was a resident of Freehold from the 1930s until moving to Long Branch in 1951.
Mrs. Block took on the responsibilities of her family’s business, The Auto Boys. She also became a receptionist at the age of 96 at her daughter and grandson’s law firm, Lindner and Lindner in Yardley, Pa., retiring at the age of 100.
She was very active with Long Branch Hadassah
Predeceased by her husband of 68 years, David, she is survived by her daughter, Martha Lindner; her brother, Hymie Gershowitz; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 1 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing.
