Howard Lipstein

Howard Brett “Lippy” Lipstein, 64, of Wayne died Sept. 14, 2015. He was born in Fair Lawn and spent many years in the West Orange/Livingston area.

Mr. Lipstein was a businessperson in the toy and swimming pool industries for most of his life.

He graduated from Rider University and received an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. 

He played for over 35 years in Livingston area softball leagues. He was also a bowler in many area leagues.

With a lifelong passion for baseball and the Yankees, he volunteered over the years with the New Jersey Jackals baseball team and the Yogi Berra Museum.

He belonged to B’nai Shalom in West Orange for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Nora Gordon; his daughter, Liza Lipstein (Jason) Mandelbaum; his mother, Joan Lipstein; a brother, Robert Lipstein; and three stepchildren, Michelle and Andy Gordon and Jennifer (Hayden) West.

Services were held Sept. 17 with arrangements by Louis Suburban Chapels, Fair Lawn. Memorial contributions may be made to Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center or Chabad Center of Passaic County.
