Howard Hirsch
Howard Allen Hirsch, 83, of Boca Raton, Fla., died March 22, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, he spent most of his adult life in New Jersey.
A licensed New York state real estate broker, Mr. Hirsch was CEO/COO of Padar Realty Company and Andros Realty Company until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of the Young Presidents Organization and served on the board of directors of Welbilt Corporation and the Real Estate Board of New York.
He was known for his many philanthropic and volunteer endeavors, sitting on the board of directors of Daughters of Israel in West Orange and United Jewish Appeal of MetroWest New Jersey, serving as campaign chairman of Metro NJ Israel Bonds, and as vice president and member of the board of directors of Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Israel, Yeshiva University High School, and Fight For Sight Organization. He was also a member of the finance committee of Green Brook Country Club, North Caldwell, and the Polo Club of Florida’s POA Board.
He was an accomplished sculptor and artist.
He is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Miriam (Mimi); two daughters, Ellen Brounstein and Ruth Haas; his son, Stephen; and nine grandchildren.
Services were held March 25 with arrangements by I.J. Morris Funeral Directors, West Palm Beach, Fla.
