HOFFER
Irwin and Barbara Hoffer
Barbara (Cookie) and Irwin Hoffer of Mount Arlington and Boynton Beach, Fla., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family over Thanksgiving weekend. The couple was married Nov. 29, 1953.
Both originally from Jersey City, the couple lived there and in Cedar Grove as they raised their children. Both members of Congregation Beth Ahm of Verona and Temple Torah of Boynton Beach, Mr. Hoffer was the vice president of operations for Channel Home Centers for many years while Mrs. Hoffer taught business education at the high school and college level.
They are the parents of Marcy and Robby Berkowitz of Springfield and Jan and Larry Hoffer of West Orange, as well as the grandparents of Steven, Andrew, Sara, Russell, and Adam.
