History lessons
I read with interest the letter signed by Jon Katz in the June 7 issue (“Israel’s best interests”).
Israel has tried “land for peace” before. It gave up the Sinai desert and had to deal with terrorists in Gaza. It gave up the buffer zone in Lebanon and now faces rockets from Hizbullah. It gave up Gaza and now faces rocket attacks from Hamas.
Why would giving up defensible borders now suddenly result in peace and acceptance from the Arab community?
Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
