Herbert Krouk
Herbert C. Krouk, 100, of Dedham, Mass., died Feb. 28, 2015. Born in Bialystok, Poland, he also had lived in Newark, Maplewood, and West Palm Beach, Fla., before moving to Dedham three years ago.
Dr. Krouk practiced dentistry in Maplewood for most of his career.
He graduated from Barringer High School in Newark, New York University, and University of Pennsylvania Dental School.
He was an Army captain during World War II.
He was a member of B’nai B’rith.
Predeceased by his wife, Evelyn (Wolpert), and a son, Steven (Marianne), he is survived by his daughter, Leslie (Richard Klitchman); two sons, Ivan (Marsha) and Ronald (Christina); a brother, Bernard; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held March 4; arrangements were handled by Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, Brookline, Mass.
