Herbert Boden
Herbert Boden, 82, of Boca Raton, Fla., died April 17, 2016. Born in the Bronx, he moved to Livingston in 1965 and to Florida in 2005.
An importer of international cheese and specialty foods, Mr. Boden worked at Walker Foods from 1959 to 2005, and became an owner of the business in 1974. He was a member of The Cheese Importer Association.
He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959.
He was a past member of Garden State Yacht Club and Maplewood Country Club. He was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston from 1965 to 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Claire; his son, Scott (Mary) of Atlanta; two daughters, Stacey Strumeyer of Verona and Jennifer (Jason) Hubert of Livingston; and 11 grandchildren.
Services were held April 19 with arrangements by Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Circle (fcnj.com/donate) or Birthright Israel Foundation.
