Henrietta Granet

Henrietta Granet (Harad), 97, of West Orange died Jan. 10, 2014. Born in East Orange, she also had resided in Irvington, Newark, and South Orange.

Mrs. Granet was a graduate of Irvington High School.

She was a member of Green Brook Country Club in North Caldwell, Congregation Beth El in South Orange, National Council of Jewish Women, and Hadassah. A past local president of B’nai B’rith Women, she was active with many local organizations, including Daughters of Israel and the Children’s Institute. She also was a published poet.

Predeceased by her husband, Murray, she is survived by two daughters, Maxine (Ron) Lipp of Georgia and Judith (Arthur) Levy of West Orange; her son, Stephen (Andrea) of West Orange; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Jan. 12 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
