Helen Reiss

Helen H. Reiss (Hilton), 77, of Union died July 6, 2015. Born in Newark, she was raised in Union, where she lived for most of her life. She moved to Basking Ridge about 15 years ago before returning to Union three years ago.

Mrs. Reiss worked for many years as a Goodwill Ambassador for The Welcome Wagon of Union, visiting with families who had recently moved to town and providing them with information and goods from local retailers and services. She later worked for management at The Mall at Short Hills, retiring about seven years ago.

She attended college for about two years.

Predeceased by her husband, Frederick, more than 20 years ago, she is survived by her companion of more than 15 years, Edward Faros of Union.

Services were held July 8 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
