Helen Esko

Helen Esko, 93, of Ewing Township died Aug. 1, 2016. Born in the Czech Republic, she was a resident of Ewing Township for more than 50 years. She was a Holocaust survivor of Bergen Belsen and Auschwitz. 

Mrs. Esko and her late husband owned and operated Hermitage Kosher Meats in Trenton and Quality Kosher Meats in Hightstown. 

She was a member of Ahavath Israel Congregation and Hadassah. 

Predeceased by her husband, Herman, she is survived by a son, Irven (Frances); a sister, Rose Schwartz; and several nieces and nephews. 

Services were held Aug. 3 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood House, Ewing.
