Hazel Galinger
Hazel Galinger (Gerrick), 98, of West Orange died May 4, 2017. Born in Cedarhurst, NY, she lived in Hewlett, NY, and Fairfield before her move to West Orange several years ago.
Mrs. Galinger was employed as an administrative assistant for Barth Vitamins in Long Island.
She was active in National Council of Jewish Women and involved in much volunteer work.
Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, she is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Howard) Menaker of West Orange and Joanne (Jeffrey) Wald of Livingston; a sister, Marion Cohen of Great Neck, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held May 7 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Daughters of Israel, West Orange.
