Harvey Allen Weiss, 81, of Springfield died Sept. 5, 2019. Born in Newark, he was raised in Brooklyn and Newark before residing in Springfield, where he raised his family.
Mr. Weiss was a chemist and worked for Exxon Corp. for many years as well as CPS Chemical Company.
He graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He was a member of B’nai B’rith, Jewish War Veterans, American Legion, and the Garden State Arts Center.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; his daughter, Dorothy (Bruce) Radowitz of Hillsborough; two sons, Gary (Nicolina) of Clark and Harry of Springfield; two brothers, Aaron of East Brunswick and Martin of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 9 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
