Harvey Alter
Harvey N. Alter, 69, of New York City and Fire Island, NY, died Nov. 25, 2015.
Mr. Alter was the president of the International Aphasia Movement.
Predeceased by his father, Seymore, and his companion, Michael Young, he is survived by his mother, Beatrice Alter; a sister, Roberta Alter Ferrara of Montville; a niece and nephew, Stephanie and Matthew Ferrara; and two grandnephews.
Services were held Nov. 30 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to IAM (International Aphasia Movement), c/o Carlota Schoolman, 155 Wooster St., 6F, New York, NY 10012.
