Harry Zaslow
Harry Zaslow, 90, of Whippany died March 11, 2016. He was formerly of Philadelphia, Ventnor, and Boynton Beach, Fla.
Mr. Zaslow was a real estate developer, author, and artist.
He was a World War II Army veteran serving in campaigns in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. While serving in Germany, he was involved in the liberation of Dachau and, later in life, lectured to thousands of students about his experiences as a soldier during that process. He wrote a memoir, A Teenager’s Journey in War and Peace, that detailed his years in the service.
Predeceased by a son, Jeffrey, he is survived by his wife of 68 years, Naomi (Weintraub); two sons, Darrell (Sherri) and Michael (Amy); his daughter, Lisa (David) Segelman; a daughter-in-law, Sherry M. Zaslow; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 13 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels, Dover.
