Harry Hellman
Harry Hellman, 96, of West Orange died March 7, 2017. He was born in Newark.
Mr. Hellman retired from Ameriprise Financial (formerly IDS Financial Services) at the age of 83 after more than 50 years with the firm.
He graduated from Rutgers University, Montclair State College, and Newark Teachers College.
A U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II as a cryptographer, he was stationed in many overseas locations.
Predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Rita, he is survived by two sons, Philip of West Orange and Matthew (Tina) of Plantation, Fla.; a brother, Al of Pompton Lakes; and two grandsons.
Services were held March 10 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
