Harry Dunkiel
Harry Dunkiel, 91, of South Orange died April 24, 2015. The sole survivor of his family during the Holocaust, he immigrated to the United States in 1950 and settled in Newark and Maplewood before moving to South Orange.
Mr. Dunkiel was initially hired as a mail sorter at the New Jersey International Bulk Mail Center in Jersey City. He rose through the ranks to become one of its managers and received several commendations for his superior work ethic.
He enjoyed attending Cafe Europa, a social program for Holocaust survivors.
He is survived by his close friends, Rosalind Moskovitz Bielski and Rachel and Jessica Bielski.
Services were held April 29 with arrangements by Preston Funeral Home, South Orange.
