Harry Domb, 87, of Whippany died July 6, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of Morris County.
An entrepreneur and businessman, Mr. Domb cofounded Domb Lighting & Electrical Supply Company in 1948 with his father, Mark. Under his leadership, the business grew to become one of the largest of its kind in northern New Jersey, and included four generations of his family.
He graduated from Morristown High School.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Harry served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Predeceased by his wife, Barbara Gans Domb, he is survived by two daughters, Leslie Domb (Gary) Platt and Beth Miller; a sister, Shirley Shalit of Morristown; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 7 with arrangements by Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, Madison. Memorial contributions may be made to Barnabas Health Hospice & Palliative Care Centers, West Orange.
