Harold Wolfers

Harold Wolfers, 87, of Kendall Park died April 2, 2013. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he was a refugee of the German camps; through the Kindertransport, he made his way to England in 1939 and then to Ecuador before coming to the United States in 1948. He was a resident of Kendall Park since 1972.

Mr. Wolfers was an executive in the Housewares Industries.

He was a corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalyn (Wolff); his son, Alan; a sister, Karin Bowers; and five grandchildren.

Services were held April 3 with arrangements by Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice, 79 Veronica Ave., Somerset, NJ 08873.
