Harold M. Buchbinder
Harold M. Buchbinder, 84, of Livingston died Feb. 22, 2011. He was born in Jersey City and was a resident of Livingston since 1957.
Mr. Buchbinder was a commercial mortgage broker for over 50 years, first with J.I. Kislak Co., Newark. He then served as president of Buchbinder & Sapiro in New York City and of Buchbinder-Silverstein & Solove in New Jersey.
He graduated from New York University with a BA degree in business.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Temple B’nai Abraham, Livingston.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; and three daughters, Janie of Roseland, Elizabeth of Washington, DC, and Louise of Basking Ridge.
Services were held Feb. 25 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, West Orange, or the Livingston First Aid Squad.
