Harold Lastfogel
Harold “The Eggman” Lastfogel, 90, of Monroe Township died March 18, 2012. Born in the Bronx, he resided in East Brunswick before moving to Monroe in 1987.
Prior to retiring in 2004, Mr. Lastfogel was the owner of B&E Wholesale Eggs and Produce, Monroe, for 40 years.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Jewish War Veterans, Monroe.
Predeceased by a daughter, Elayne Sabella, and a grandson, Paul Yaszay, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, Muriel Shapiro Lastfogel; a daughter, Barbara Lastfogel of Portland, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Eileen Hahn of Avenel; two stepsons, Jay and Fred Gerstler, both of Carteret; eight grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.
Services were held March 20 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
