Harold Gelvan
Harold Gelvan, 84, of Short Hills died Jan. 27, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Maplewood before moving to Short Hills in 1963.
Mr. Gelvan owned NOSAJ Disposables, Paterson, for 25 years before retiring in 2002.
He served in the Army National Guard during the Korean Conflict.
Predeceased by a grandson, Andrew, he is survived by his wife, Doris (Bergerman); two daughters, Pamela Spain of Moorestown and Ellen Miller of Owings Mills, Md.; a sister, Rose Platnick of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 29 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
