Harold Cohn, 94, of Fairfax, Va., formerly of Ocean, died April 17, 2017. Born in Springfield, Ill., he lived in various parts of the United States until his family settled in Freehold.
Mr. Cohn was a math teacher at Middletown Township High School. He also owned and operated a summer beach store in Bayhead.
He graduated from University of Alabama in 1947 with a bachelor of science and commerce and business administration.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in England working as a radar technician.
His wife of 67 years, Marion, died seven months after him. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Cohn-Rosenberg of Londonderry, N.H., and Robin Cohn Cohen of Herndon, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at The Woodlands Retirement Home in Fairfax on April 20.
