Harold Bieber
Dr. Harold Bieber, 90, of Livingston died Oct. 27, 2017. He was born and raised in New York and lived in Livingston for 57 years.
Following positions at Charles of the Ritz and American Cyanamid, Dr. Bieber joined Hoffman La Roche in Nutley in 1956, where he remained for 38 years, becoming an expert in the design of vitamin extraction plants.
He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from The City College of New York and a master’s and doctorate in chemical engineering from The Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn.
Predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy, in 2010, he is survived by two daughters, Ellen Bieber and Barbara (Bill) Gedney; a son, David; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 29 with arrangements by Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
