Hans Loewensteiner

Hans Loewensteiner, 97, of Morristown died Feb. 8, 2011. Born in Germany, he lived in Irvington before moving to Morristown 43 years ago.

Mr. Loewensteiner was a self-employed cattle dealer for Hans Loewensteiner & Sons, Inc., for 24 years, before retiring in 1979.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael.

Predeceased by his wife, Ruth, in 2004, he is survived by two sons, Howard of Morristown and Marvin of Chester; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 9 with arrangements by Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains. Memorial contributions may be made to Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael.
