Grace Ann Cantor
Grace Ann Cantor, 91, of Ewing died May 4, 2013. Born in Pultusk, Poland, she grew up during the Depression era in Toronto and later moved to Ottawa before immigrating to the United States, living in Brooklyn and later in Roosevelt before moving to Ewing.
Mrs. Cantor had a long career as an executive secretary at American Cyanamid Agricultural Center in Princeton. She also was a real estate salesperson with Mann Realty in Trenton and served as a Democratic Committeewoman in Ewing for many years. She retired in 1989 and devoted herself to caring for her husband.
She graduated from Harbord Collegiate Institute in Toronto.
She and her husband supported many Jewish and Zionist causes and were strong supporters of the State of Israel. She was a longstanding member of Adath Israel Congregation, Lawrenceville, since 1961.
Predeceased by her husband in 2000, a few months before their 60th wedding anniversary, she is survived by two sons, Daniel (Laurel) of Princeton and David of Brussels, Belgium; her daughter, Judith Bernstein of Teaneck; and four grandchildren.
Services were held May 7 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Adath Israel, Jewish Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks, or Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
