GOODMAN-RYAN

Laurie and Bruce Goodman of Montclair announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily of Washington, DC, to Peter Ryan of Washington, DC, son of Patricia and Richard Ryan of King of Prussia, Pa. The bride-to-be is also the granddaughter of Mitzi Levitt of Pompton Plains and Helene Goodman of Verona.

Ms. Goodman, a 2004 graduate of Montclair Kimberley Academy, earned a BA in public health from Johns Hopkins University in 2008 and is a candidate for a master’s degree in public health at George Washington University. She is a health policy analyst with the Government Accountability Office, Washington, DC.

Mr. Ryan earned a BA in writing seminars from Johns Hopkins University in 2006. He is a graphic designer at Symplicity Corporation in Arlington, Va.

An October 2012 wedding is planned.
