Goldye Rader

Goldye Rader, 93, of West Orange died April 16, 2011. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she moved to East Orange in the mid 1940s and then lived in Livingston for 50 years prior to moving to West Orange five years ago.

Mrs. Rader worked as an executive secretary and librarian, retiring in the early 1990s.

She was a volunteer for Deborah Heart and Lung Center and a founding member and past president of the Livingston Art Association. She was also a Hadassah member who had been honored as Woman of the Year.

Predeceased by her husband, Milton, she is survived by her son, Ron of Rockville, Md., and her daughter, Carol Rader-Meislin of Livingston.

Services were held April 18 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Jersey Foundation for the Blind or the Livingston or West Orange First Aid squads.
