Gladys E Friedman
Gladys E. Friedman, 95, of Brick died Oct. 21, 2010. Born in Newark, she resided in Brick since 1976.
Ms. Friedman was employed by the Newark Board of Education from 1936 until 1976. She retired as librarian at Arts High School.
She graduated from Montclair and had a master of library science degree. She also attended Syracuse and Columbia universities.
She was a member of Hadassah of Ocean County.
She is survived by her nephew, William Olsan of Westlake Village, Calif.; three nieces, Anita O. Strauss of West Orange, Marcia Bovit of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Susan Farley of Summerfield, Fla.; eight great-nieces and -nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services were held Oct. 22 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
