Gilda Kaplan Hecht
Gilda Kaplan Hecht, 80, of West Orange died Nov. 20, 2010.
A graduate of the Pratt Institute of Design, Mrs. Hecht was the proprietor of Gilda
Kaplan Interiors and had taught interior decorating at the JCC of Metropolitan
New Jersey, West Orange, in the 1970s.
She was a member of the American Jewish Congress, the Lion of Judah Division of the United Jewish Appeal of MetroWest NJ and B’nai Shalom in West Orange.
Predeceased by her son-in-law Ken Wittcoff, she is survived by her husband of 56 years, Morris; two daughters, Jessica Wittcoff and Leslie Kallus; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 22 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
