Gerald “Jerry” Heller, 86, of Irvington died Sept. 22, 2018. He was born in Newark and moved to Irvington in 1966.
Mr. Heller worked in the supermarket industry for Pantry Pride and Foodtown, among others. He retired in 1993.
He served in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Korean War.
Predeceased by his brother, Seymour of Clearwater, Fla., and a nephew, Kevin of Clark, he is survived by three nephews, Arthur Heller of Union, Richard Heller of Trinity, Fla., and Marc Heller of Edison, and many great- and great-great-nephews and nieces.
Services were held Sept. 25 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
