George Zapolitz
George Saul Zapolitz, 91, of Mountainside died April 27, 2019. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Newark and Union before moving to Springfield, where he resided for almost 60 years before recently moving to Mountainside.
Mr. Zapolitz was the owner of a wholesale business for over 35 years.
He was a member of Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael in Springfield and B’nai B’rith Springfield Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Michele Schindler of Sarasota, Fla., and Debra (Marc) Stern of Berkeley Heights; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 28 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield.
