George Ashendorf

George Ashendorf, 94, of Tinton Falls died March 7, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Rumson for 30 years before moving to Tinton Falls eight years ago.

Mr. Ashendorf was a computer systems engineer for most of his career, working at RCA and then at Fort Monmouth. Most recently he worked with his son Douglas and grandson Justin at the Pain Treatment Centers of New Jersey, Clark.

He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Jewish War Veterans’ Post 125.

Predeceased by his wife, Mildred, in 2011, and his son, Douglas, he is survived by his grandson, Justin Ashendorf of Westfield; his nephew, Daniel, and his niece, Linda Maltz; and his caretaker, Shavonne Moore.

Services were held March 9 with arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean.
