Freze Jacobson

Freze Ruth Jacobson (Meltzer), 98, of Monroe Township died Feb. 14, 2015. Born in Newark, she lived in Irvington and then in Plainfield for 40 years before moving to Monroe 15 years ago.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Jacobson had worked for many years as a legal secretary and also worked with her husband in his business, Plainfield Roofing. 

She served as a nurse’s aide at Fort Monmouth during World War II.

She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and volunteered at Muhlenberg Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 1998, she is survived by her daughter, Loren (Jeff) Asch, and two grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 16 with arrangements by Higgins Home for Funerals, Watchung.
