Frances Goodman (Sohn), 99, of West Caldwell died Feb. 9, 2018. Born in the Bronx, she lived in Teaneck, Morristown, and Morris Plains, where, for over 25 years, she raised her family before moving to Deerfield Beach, Fla.; West Orange; and to West Caldwell six years ago.
Mrs. Goodman, a homemaker, attended the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School.
She was an active member of numerous communal organizations, including Hadassah, the Shalom Club, and the Sisterhood of Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael, all of Morristown; B’nai B’rith of Morris County; and the JCC MetroWest’s William Margulies Senior Center in West Orange.
Predeceased by her husband, Jack, she is survived by her son, David of Las Vegas; two daughters, Renee (Howard) Spear of West Orange and Barbara Parnes of Deerfield Beach; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 13 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Springfield.
