Frances Gold, 84, of Peabody, Mass., died Jan. 3, 2013. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and resided in Westfield for over 40 years before moving to Peabody in 2011.
Mrs. Gold was a teacher in the Roselle public school system.
She graduated from City College of New York and received a master’s degree from Brooklyn College.
She was formerly a member of Temple Emanu-El of Westfield and its women’s club.
She was a bridge life master and a strong supporter of the arts.
Predeceased by her husband, Gerald, whom she married in 1954, she is survived by two daughters, Leah (James) Windgardner and Julie Gold (Michael Rodal); a sister, Nancy Goldstein; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 7 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Memorial Home, Union.
