Frances Eisenhandler

Frances Baranow Eisenhandler, 94, of Albany, NY, died April 29, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, she was raised in the Bronx and lived in Albany for many years.

Mrs. Eisenhandler volunteered for more than 30 years in the pediatric department at Albany Medical Center. She had been involved with the North Bethlehem Fire Department, the Drama Workshop at the Jewish Community Center, and the City of Rensselaer Senior Citizens.

Predeceased by her husband, Sidney; a son, Joel; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Micah Eisenhandler, she is survived by a son, Evan (Beth) of Poestenkill, NY; her daughter, Rosanne (Ira) Dawer of Montville; a brother, Sol Baranow of Byram Township; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 1 with arrangements by Levine Memorial Chapel, Albany. Memorial contributions may be made to Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, 180 Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12203 or North Bethlehem Fire Department, 589 Russell Rd., Albany, NY 12203.
