For real peace
I am writing to thank you for the wonderful article, “Faiths bond during Majdanek visit,” (May 26), however the name of our organization is the Interfaith Encounter Association, not the Israel Interfaith Association.
NJJN readers may be interested in knowing that the IEA was founded in 2001 by a group of long-time activists who saw a need for a non-political approach to reconciliation which rehumanizes the other and builds respect and friendship by means of joint study of religious ideas. We currently are one of the largest interfaith dialog organizations in Israel, with 38 ongoing monthly encounter groups, many retreats and conferences, and over 4,500 active participants who are working to build a true grassroots movement for real peace.
For more information and to support our important work, visit our web site, www.interfaith-encounter.org. All donations from the United States are fully tax-deductible.
Dr. Yehuda Stolov
Director, Interfaith Encounter Association
