Florence Goldsmith
Florence G. Goldsmith, 99, of Ewing died March 12, 2015. Born in Bethlehem, Pa., and raised in Plainfield, she spent her initial retirement years in Bay Harbor Island, Fla., before moving to Ewing in 1989 and remaining in the Trenton area for the rest of her life.
Mrs. Goldsmith worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses in the Plainfield area until her retirement in the mid-1970s.
She was a life member of Hadassah, serving as president of four different chapters. Prior to becoming a Greenwood House resident, she had worked there as a volunteer, primarily in the gift shop.
Predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1984, she is survived by her son, Brian (Maxine) of Hopewell Township; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 13 with arrangements by Riverside Memorial Chapels, Ewing.
