Information Session on Israel Trip Summer 2020
Rabbi Tobin will present plans for B'nai Shalom's trip to Israel next summer at an information session on Thursday, July 25 at 7:00 pm. All are welcome. The theme of the trip: Exploring Borders from the Ottoman Empire to Netanyahu Led by Rabbi Robert Tobin. Dates for the trip are June 28 - July 9, 2020, with the option to extend through July 12 to visit Eilat and Petra.

Livingston Township Hall, 7 p.m. Members of Montclair’s Bnai Keshet and local faith and immigrant advocacy organizations will gather to demand better conditions at the Essex County Correctional Facility (ECCF); most of the detainees are immigrants and refugees who have not been charged with crimes. Participants will visit Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo and attend a County Freeholder’s meeting. Community members may also contact DiVincenzo’s office on July 25 to condemn ECCF’s treatment of detainees at 973-621-4400 or joedi@admin.essexcountynj.org.
