Lunch ‘n’ Learn: Civil Rights in Israel
Temple Har Zion to host Lunch 'n' Learn on Civil Rights in Israel Rabbi Dr. Sharon Shalom, the first Ethiopian rabbi in Israel, will be the guest speaker March 29 at a Lunch 'n' Learn event hosted by Temple Har Zion. On Sunday, March 31st at 9:30 am, Temple Shalom’s Caring and Social Action committees will host a breakfast program open to the community. The topic is Human Trafficking in Monmouth County and New Jersey. The featured speakers are Debbie Riveros of the Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center and Tara Wilson, Assistant County Prosecutor. Thirteen rabbis covering the Jewish experience from various perspectives will participate in a four-session Torathon on Sunday, March 31, 1-5 p.m. at Congregation Beth Ohr, Old Bridge.
