“Life and Loss in Germany: The 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht”
The Dedication of the Temple Emanu-El Holocaust Remembrance Center will offer the first opportunity to explore the opening exhibit, "Life and Loss in Germany: The 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht." At the Dedication Ceremony, we will learn the history of the Center as well as share plans for the future. Dr. Joanna Sliwa, exhibit curator, will provide an overview of the exhibit. A Bagel U (Adult Education) course offering a discussion of the book by Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. Abraham Leibson will lead a discussion of The Sabbath, hailed as a classic of Jewish spirituality. Heschel is a poet in his brevity, a precision craftsman in his choice of words.
