Iconic Culture: From Little Black Dress to Bell Bottoms
The Morris County Historical Society's latest exhibit explores cultural history through a retrospective featuring nearly 100 pieces from its historic textile collection. The exhibit highlights cultural milestones from the 1920s to the 1970s and clothing styles mirrored historical events. Open Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays, 1-4 p.m. $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students, free for children.

The Dedication of the Temple Emanu-El Holocaust Remembrance Center will offer the first opportunity to explore the opening exhibit, "Life and Loss in Germany: The 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht." At the Dedication Ceremony, we will learn the history of the Center as well as share plans for the future. Dr. Joanna Sliwa, exhibit curator, will provide an overview of the exhibit. The Grant Avenue Gallery at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Ocean Township will continue an exhibition, “Collage,” through Dec. 2, featuring the works of five collage artists. An opening reception for a dual exhibition of recent works by Francesca Pelaggi and Michael Shacham will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18, 3-5 p.m. at The Linda Grandis Blatt Gallery of Temple B’nai Or, Morristown. This dual artist exhibition of Pelaggi’s “Passions” and Shacham’s “Menorahs” runs through Jan. 7, 2019. Gallery hours are during temple functions and by appointment during weekday business hours.
