Women Warriors of Chanukah

We all know Judah, Antiochus and Mattathias – but there are other characters in the Chanukah story – women who played an important role in the Biblical tale as well as other Jewish female warriors from later years. This class will examine Judith and Hannah – looking at their roles in the story and how their actions set a precedent for Jewish female activists throughout history.
