DESCRIPTION:“Trends in Israeli Society: The Surprising Rise of Ultra-Orthodox Feminism” will be presented by Dr. Tanya Zion-Waldoks on Thursday\, June 13\, at 7:30 p.m. at The Jewish Center\, Princeton. \nZion-Waldoks is a gender scholar\, feminist activist\, and mother of four whose research examines intersections of religion\, gender\, and politics\, with a focus on women’s social movements. Currently a post-doctoral Rothschild fellow at Princeton University’s Center for the Study of Religion\, she will join the faculty of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s School of Education later this year. \nCost is $36\, $18 Jewish Center members.
