SUMMARY:The World of Israel's Defense (and Not Just) Technology
DESCRIPTION:Rabbi Emanuel Ben-David will unveil his personal experience working for decades for Rafael (one of the major three defense contractors that started as a part of the Ministry of Defense). Among the technologies and products he describes are the Iron Dome and David’s Sling\, two of the three layers of Israel’s missile defense architecture. \nRabbi Ben-David was born in Haifa\, Israel and is a graduate of mechanical engineering at the prestigious Technion University in Haifa. He served his mandatory military service as a naval officer. For more than 40 years he was involved in defense and technology. Emanuel lived in Israel until May 2014\, retiring from Advanced Defense Systems. He and his wife live in Ashland\, OR. \n
