The Changing World of Haredi Women

March 10, 2019 , 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Free

Nechumi Yaffe, an Israeli wife, mother, activist, and educator, will speak about Haredi (Ultra Orthodox and Chasidic) women, their special position as solo breadwinner, and their journey into the Israeli public square. Nechumi will discuss the creative ways Haredi women find to address the inherent tensions of their different role, and efforts to better integrate them into the modern, vibrant Israeli society. A new political wave is forming. Come hear her story. She is presently a post-grad researcher at Princeton University and has a PhD from Hebrew University.

The event is free, but please RSVP to littleshul@kehilathanahar.org
