DESCRIPTION:Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County\, Freehold\, will present “What’s Your Story?\,” a live community storytelling event at 2 p.m.  \nAt this event\, coordinated by Robyn Shumer\, a storytelling coach\, some of her protégés will share stories of life-changing events. Speakers include museum volunteer Lola Kline\, who will reveal the story of her family’s survival during World War II; Susanne Peticolas\, who speaks about assisting refugees; Jackie Allgood\, who survived several cancer diagnoses; Elissa Torres\, who speaks about human trafficking; and Shumer\, who will discuss overcoming her own obstacles to become a mother. \nThe style of these talks is reminiscent of TED (Technology\, Entertainment\, Design) talks\, which focus on “ideas worth sharing”; and “The Moth” stories heard on PBS radio.  \nThis program is made possible in part by the Monmouth County Historical Commission through funding from the New Jersey Historical Commission of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders. \nCost is $10\, $8 members.
